How we meet

 At 17, I met Mateus at a school club event. His warm smile and bright eyes instantly drew me in. We bonded while working together on a freshman party. But just as we were about to start something, I had to move to another city due to family reasons.
Nine years later, fate played its hand. At a high school reunion in Sao Paulo, I was shocked to see Mateus again. Our old feelings resurfaced instantly. We reconnected and started supporting each other again. I learned he had been thinking about me all these years.

About one year ago, he took me back to the beach where we first talked about our dreams. As the sun set, he knelt on one knee. "Sophia, you are the most precious surprise in my life. Will you marry me?" he asked. I agreed with tears in my eyes.
